Re: MZ-80B software
Considering what I remember of the flyers that were made back in the days ( I worked at the Swedish distributor of Sharp equipment in Sweden between semesters while in school once) the MZ-80B looked to be much more directed to the business segment than the home segment. Since the computer was releas...

Re: MZ-80B software
The MZ-80B was a sidestep from the serie. MZ-80K, MZ-80A and MZ-700 are in many parts compatible to each others. Programs written for MZ-80K will run on the other computers in many cases. I have run MZ-80K assembler/editor/linker written for MZ-80K (The Sharp official version) on a MZ-700. For that ...

Re: MZ 700 - rear view
Still, without knowing where the connector is connected, you will only guess. It might be a (home built) interface board hidden under the cover. A Centronics interface is still not impossible. There were Centronics interfaces that had DB-25 on the computer side and Centronics on the printer side. /N...

Re: MZ 700 - rear view
The problem is that the DB-25 was used for Centronics and for RS-232. You have to open up and look to know what it is.
The use of female or male connectors was up to the implementation in those days.

Re: Dumping character ROM
I am more interested in the label on the prom. Besides, the MZ-800 were slightly late on the market, and I am not sure if they went through the ADDO Sharp office or any other way.

Re: Dumping character ROM
The Swedish original font ROM was definitely official in the 700. It was installed by ADDO Sharp, the Swedish distributor. This could, of cause, be a non official ROM anyway. How was it labeled?

Re: Detecting VBL on 800 in 700-mode
Are you sure the computer is set up for the right memory banking? Maybe the emulator have RAM all the way when entering 700-mode?
