Forum spam

Due to an increasing amount of spam I have activated Admin activation of new users today. This means that any newly registered user will not be able to post anything until approved by board admins. I hoped to avoid this as it makes things harder for genuine MZ fans, but with the amount of spam we're...

Re: [SD2MZCMT] GitHub link

I also want to add a very fast serial transfer between Arduino and MZ to load/save MZF files using the tape signals. Not quite sure what you mean by this. If you want to add an alternative, faster interface, wouldn't the easiest and fastest be to connect it directly to the databus and access the Ar...

Re: Reviving a MZ-1P01 plotter

I guess I should have done something, as when I tested the paper feed it worked for a few seconds and then the roller stopped. I can still hear a motor spinning, so I guess there's a rubber belt or something that has disintegrated over the years.

Yes, that's an option if I can't find a replacement. However, you never get the subtle details right so it won't look very good.

Re: Not so shiny new MZ

And this is how it looks after a "bit" of cleaning. MZ731 - cleaned.jpg I'm quite pleased with it, the tape recorder is working properly and the plotter does things when the buttons are pressed so I hope it's working. "Just" need to find pens and paper for it... And I really should get a new F5, but...

Reviving a MZ-1P01 plotter

My "new" 731 has not been used in probably 30 years. Is there anything I should do to the plotter before I test it?
