Re: Is main site down for good?

The Wordpress site is down for good. Too much hassle, too many hours spent on maintaining Wordpress instead of content.

Re: Mz700 repair project

Hello. I'm new in this forum. I have a MZ700 and I have lost 2 keys and break 3 stems in a "little" accident at home. The keys are "J" and "M". If you have (access to) a 3D printer you could print new keycaps. I can upload the STL for these if you're interested. The st...

Re: Eliminator II - Sharpsoft

IIRC it was a Space Invaders/Galaxian style game. It was definitely not sidescrolling.

Re: MZ - 731 - Printer / Plotter repair

There is a tiny plastic gear that cracks and then slips on the roller axle. A guy on eBay is selling replacement gear made from brass, I bought two gears from him a while ago but has not had time to install them yet.

Something is warming up and shorting (or breaking). Most likely a capacitor.

Re: Emulating Star Avenger

This was also my favorite game for my MZ, which I also happened to get in 1984 :) My parents bought it for me because I had been nagging them about getting a computer for a couple of years, and the MZ-700 was the cheapest computer in the store at that time. Star Avenger has been available on sharpmz...

Re: Help new QD owner

Indeed, Flappy and the assembler/debugger-disks were the only working ones. When looking more closely at the disks it's not hard to see why, most of the disks are heavily worn. I formatted the original BASIC disk and copied BASIC to it, but loading fails almost every time. Geir - who has bought the ...
