Re: "Connect 4" conversion from BASIC to Machine Code

I actually started writing this post about a year ago and saved it as a draft. I never actually completed the post / comparison of the BASIC code versus Assembly code. I thought I'd put this up anyway. If I do actually get time to complete this comparison then I will edit the post in the future with...

Re: Ten Liner Cave

Yeah would be a cool project to do to transfer the ZIL to MZ. Also to port the Scott Adams adventures to MZ as well. It'd be nice to get the BASIC SA-1510 version working. I think the confusion is probably coming from where you have to use * instead of AND and + instead of OR. Possibly I messed up a...

Re: Homemade Basic Game

But for the MZ-80 machines you usually have to load a separate converter program to convert between the different BASICs.

Re: Homemade Basic Game

S-BASIC will load an MZ-80 program and when it finishes loading it will say something like "CONVERTING TEXT......." and it converts all the BASIC tokens to S-BASIC ones. Then you can list and run the MZ-80 program with no problem.

Re: Homemade Basic Game

I do not understand myself now. I have use S-Basic MZ-5Z008 with Quick Disk support. I thought that would be the only difference(QD support)? Well, a lot of the different BASICs have different tokens to represent the commands, so usually a converter is needed. Although I have just found that S-BASI...

Re: Space Fightor (MZ-80 / MZ-700) (Japanese CG-ROM)

This seems to work in both SP-5025 and S-BASIC (I didn't know S-BASIC has a built in text / token converter for the MZ-80 BASICs !)

Re: exchange mZ 700 games

If I end up with some duplicates then I could be willing to exchange for sure.
