Re: MZ-SD2CMT - correct wiring?

Marcus Lausch told me he was able to load several Basic programs using .WAV and .MZF files. But you must do it in normal mode. Binary program can be loaded in ultrafast mode (~20s for 48KB loading - I modified the firmware so you can see in which mode you are on the screen now). Note that I added IR...

Re: [MZ-SD2CMT] GitHub link

I noticed I needed to plug USB because LCD16x2 was getting too more power and prevented SD card from working properly without the USB powering. For this reason, I decided to try the I²C 128x64 OLED since the input was solved by using an IR remote. After removing LCD16x2, now the MZ-700 can power the...

Re: MZ-SD2CMT - correct wiring?

My mistake, Tingo! the code is using a One-Shot-Pulse generated at pin 2 and not at pin 3. I've just realized it when changing the MEGA and have the same issue than you. Pin 3 was in used when there were some play algorithms still using a simple bit toggling. When all algorithms started to use OSP, ...

Re: Mz700 repair project

The lettering is not fading but I have doubt about color : unlike TO8 keys the color keys on MZ-700 appear to be sensitive where there is a yellowish taint. The part where there is no yellowish taint has no changes. The lettering looks better indeed.

Re: Mz700 repair project

I tried to retrobright some MZ-700 keys without UV using only H2O2 and heat through a sous-vide cooker (not sure how to call that machine).

But I got a better result with TO8 keys as I could refine the experiment.

Re: Still faulty 80K

So the situation is you have no screen activity and no sound activity. Sounds like the CPU is not running. The more I think, the more I believe we need an arduino to take the Z80 bus ownership and be able to access RAM, ROM, VRAM and Intel chips to make some tests and diagnostics. - Monitor ROM ($00...

Re: Mz700 repair project

That's okay. Especially if you're speaking about how to repair an MZ-700, so go on.
