Text adventures

Has anyone ever actually completed any of the usual text adventures on the MZ? They all seem to be pretty difficult! Might be nice to do a walkthrough some day.

Re: Copying software from site onto cassette

Hi, welcome! Glad you got the software working in the end. The method I use is to use one of those cassette adapters you used to get for car stereos. Plug the jack into the laptop (with volume at 50%) and place the tape in the MZ-80A. Works very successfully. The only downside is you have to remove ...

Re: Pascal SP-4015 "C"

If a comment field in the file buffer isn't cleared down properly when you next save a file then it'll just be saved along with the current file. Could be a remnant of something else that was in memory before this file was saved.

The next version of Arkos Tracker will have a full mz support.
Very interesting. Will it be interrupt driven? How much memory does it take up?

Re: 1 bit music

Interesting, I enquired a long time back on the World of Spectrum forums about 1-bit sampled sound but unfortunately the theory is too difficult for me. Great if you have managed to translate an existing engine to the Sharp. I'll take a listen later on to your sound clip. Soon, Sharpworks will be wo...

Re: Zeplis

Yeah, that's a shame. I need to spend more time on the Japan auction sites ;) Maybe one day that issue will come up.

Re: MZ-700 demos

Excellent :) I presume you are active on other machines? I am doing some homebrew stuff at the moment but once that's out of the way I'll be carrying on with my small demo for my MZ-80A. I'm sure it won't be a patch on anything you guys are doing though.

Re: [MZ-1200] Details

Very interesting. Although, PCG is not standard in the 1200, is it?
