Re: online Z80 assembler

Pretty cool!

I was going to look into making some sort of IDE for MZ (which also tacks the MZF file header on the front of the object code) at some point. A future project maybe.

MZ-80K tape drive problems

Hi, My MZ-80K has stopped being able to fast-forward or rewind cassettes (makes a lot of noise when it tries) and barely plays a tape, it will play but not load anything. I opened the MZ-80K's case and can see the belt turning when pressing the buttons, despite the noise. Do I just need a new belt a...

Re: Token converter

Maybe we should write our own utility to convert programs between the different BASICs :)

Token converter

Has anyone got a way of converting from MZ-1200 BASIC to MZ-80A? The 1200 one is SP-5030 I think and MZ-80A's one is SA-5510.

Re: idea: custom keyboard for MZ emulation

Can anyone explain why the emulators make it so hard to work with your PC/laptop keyboard? It is frustrating that the symbols aren't where they usually are on the keys. I guess they're trying to emulate the exact positions of the MZ keys perhaps? But, for instance on EmuZ-80, that's not true of the ...

Re: Sharpworks Fast Loader

However, the EmuZ-80A emulator seemed to read it all quite well too when I last tested! This is why I feel like it's the superior emulator, it reads WAVs natively.

Re: Sharpworks Fast Loader

Yep. And it worked :) Although I would usually use one of those for transferring from laptop to Sharp. When I'm transferring from Sharp to laptop I usually use a hi-fi separates tape deck with USB soundcard. MZF Studio is capable of reading the fast WAVs as long as it's set to MZ-80B import mode :) ...

Sharpworks Fast Loader

Hi, One of Sharpworks' current projects is to produce a fast loader program to enable tapes to be loaded and saved much more quickly than the Monitor usually does but also to keep reliability. We're nearing completion of it in fact. I've just uploaded a video showing a 'trial run' of the program whe...
