Re: MZ-700 correct filter capacitors for PSU

AC capacitors have no polarization: You can connect them in the direction you want.
In general, the inscription is easily visible.

Re: Joystick Games

There are games in s-basic 1Z-013B for mz-700 which uses the joystick as "cosmic scramble"

Are the plans for the "Atari-2-SharpMZ700" joystick adapter published? It would be interesting.

Re: SFD-700/800 .dsk Disk analyse

Hi S.U.C.,

Thank you for the answer.

By SWAP file details, do we mean that the reserved area is used in temporary memory to have the details of a particular file without having to access the declaration area in the catalog itself?

SFD-700/800 .dsk Disk analyse

Hello, I am looking at the contents of .dsk for SFD700 / 800 (+1500) interfaces. I would like to know 3 things: - For the SFD-700, is the automatic start of a program detected by $02 + "IPLPRO" ? - For the SFD-800 (and 1500), is the automatic start of a program detected by $03 + "IPLP...

Re: MZ700 not booting

The 5V supply of the different component pins cannot be sinusoidal: It is a direct current so on the oscilloscope there should be a 5V direct line.
Perhaps start by checking what the vacuum power supply (alone) really gives: waveform and amplitude.

Re: MZ700 not booting

Hi

No beep, therefore no execution of the monitor code by the Z80.
This may be due to the 2732 monitor ROM eprom referenced IC5H.
Maybe start by testing it.
Does the screen display some sort of mosaic of random, color characters

Re: Text To Speech

I fully agree with this: I had noticed that the PWM generated alone without the text is difficult to understand. However, I applied bandpass filters on the original soundtrack, limiting the maximum frequency to 2kHz, but maybe I would have to decrease the bandwidth further. I'm in the middle of tryi...
