Re: MZ-700 Blank Key.
Also the original.sharpmz.org website, all the file download links look broken, I wonder if it needs restarting or something has expired?

Re: MZ-700 Blank Key.
Re UV, it is the wavelength that is important, I have a 50W UV unit which I shone onto an eprom and it didnt erase it and when I checked the wavelength against a UV eraser spec it was different. Good idea though just need to source a UV led of the right wavelength.

Re: MZ-700 Blank Key.
Wild goose chase I'm afraid, your rom is fine. Do you see some kind of flashing on the screen, reminiscent of a cursor and if you press keys does the screen change? This is what I was getting on the 80A hence the CGROM being the culprit. If your just getting random characters up then like hlide poin...

Re: MZ-700 Blank Key.
Np, just let me know. Re: CGROM, look at original.sharpmz.org - go to Download, MZ-700, ROMS and you will see the image there, ie. https://original.sharpmz.org/download/MZ7CGint.zip Probably best thing to do is to just read your rom contents and compare with the above image, that will direct you in ...

Re: MZ-700 Blank Key.
I use an XGecu Pro TL866 II programmer which I find very good, handles most devices. In terms of UV erasure, I no longer have a UV light (I should get one but prefer flash devices these day), what I did for the MZ-80A was to use the CGROM out of the MZ-700 (which survived my stupid 12V mistake) with...

Re: WTB SHarp MZ-700 or MZ-800
If you have no luck, I have an MZ-700' with Manual, power cord etc, and have the box albeit it has no polystyrene inners, just the outer box. Only trouble is Im in UK at mo and the costs BPOST will charge you for something arriving from the UK are a joke (circa EUR43 just for their admin fee)!

Re: MZ-700 Blank Key.
If you need the blank key, PM me your address I can send you a spare I have and a plunger (assuming the plunger has broken hence missing key). I blew up an MZ-700 2 years ago and have stripped it down for spares. In terms of the screen, the character generator ROM loses its programming and can cause...

Re: MZ-80b FI/O to HxC Cable
I will take a look soon as Im currently porting my Sharp MZ Series emulator to a Cyclone IV device with less resources, modularising at the same time, once done I will advance by adding the missing FDC controller. If anyone is interested, a Sharp MZ-80A running on a Sharp MZ-700 Host using the MZ-7...

Re: Machine Code program
The code contains the title 'KNIGHT's M/C VSN 3.1" so would look like something from Knights Software but with the header name changed. Has a number of PRINTER messages with start/end so perhaps a disassembler?

Re: Old historic 'homebrew'
Many thanks, I've added them to my collection. It would be nice for everything to be on original.sharpmz.org as I find this website brilliant for all things Sharp, just a shame Karl-Heinz retired.
