Re: Mz700 repair project

1) Mitsubishi ? yes, it is usual. Not all components are labelled SHARP. 2) PSU ? C1 and C2 are just filter caps and are not necessary for MZ-700 to work. They were used so your neighbour's RF TV was not noisy due to interference. But those caps do smell bad when they are exploded, so just remove th...

Re: MZ-SD2CMT - correct wiring?

This afternoon I tried again. Checked my wiring - it looks ok. Marcus Lausch tried your configuration and it works perfect for him. So far, there are two people who has a working unit. I start to think your firmware is probably not working as expected as I remembered you had issues to build one tha...

Re: DIY QuickDisk-emulator for MZ-800

I think the image are probably mzq (a format close to the image inside QD) but I may be wrong.

Re: RGB case + PCB + Connexions

So I should check whether my fully working MZ-700 has this box or it is not a French version (I had it with a SCART wire).

Just a small precision: MZ2TAPE is not my solution but Pacman's while it is true it was first inspired by my project.

Re: MZ-SD2CMT - correct wiring?

If the progress bar is not moving, it means the Arduino is in pause forced by the MZ-700 (MOTOR turned OFF). When trying to load, check if the SENSE signal is low and the MOTOR signal is high (motor on).

Re: MZ-SD2CMT - correct wiring?

I didn't see your posts. So, basically, everything are checked but the progress bar is not progressing? Do you have an oscilloscope?

Also give me your binary, I'll try to upload it on my Arduino.

First, you're hijacking the thread for another project with no link to MZ2TAPE.

Second, I really doubt your project is able to load a 48KByte binary in 20s unlike MZ2TAPE.

C'est le boitier que l'on trouve sur les MZ-700 vendus en France à l'époque, non ?

Re: MZ-700: is there an easy way to get a modern video output?

I have tried them all - cvideo, csync and separate syncs. I guess I have to hook up an oscilloscope and see what these signals looks like. Someone says: Unfortunately, the board has a quirk, you have to unsolder the cheap Elkos from the board and replace them with good ones, otherwise the picture a...
