SANYO TRC-1148 Recording volume

Post by TextAdventureKing »

EDIT: I just realized I overvolted my TRC-1148. I gave it 4x the power it needed.

My SANYO TRC-1148's Recording volume is confusing me. I want to find a way to record a Z80 Assembly program I found on the site and copy it to cassette I tried on volume 10 and 8. If you need more info I'm recording to Maxell UR Type 1 tapes.

I assume you are connecting the computer earphone out to the tape recorder microphone in? The output is WAY too high. On my laptop, I have the earphone output set to between 3 and 5 (Windows 10) so extremely low.

If you are intending to save to tape so you can then play on a physical computer (eg MZ700) then I assume you have also converted back to WAV format using MZFStudio?
