I have literally never seen those pages. And I have owned a number of different MZ-80A manuals before passing them on to other people. This is my own one:psmart wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 2:13 pm I had a more closer look at my manual, the MZ80A was purchased circa mid 1982 and it has a similar number of pages to the pdf on original.sharpmz.org, the latter is either lacking pages or skips the blanks in its pdf numbering. I've attached the differences that I could see without page by page comparison.

Could it be you have an American MZ-80A and manual? The spelling of 'colour' is the American spelling. I wonder if they added a colour option for the U.S. market! There is even no mention of it on here:

Re: Color GAL5, color board for MZ80KC/1200
Weird... I would expect for US spelling to be "color" and UK spelling to be "colour" like for "behavior (US)/behaviour (UK)". You're kind of saying the contrary here...
Re: Color GAL5, color board for MZ80KC/1200
I'm absolutely not saying the contrary. Look at his photos and you will see it has the American spelling of the word colour.
Re: Color GAL5, color board for MZ80KC/1200
Ahh ok, I was expecting to read "The spelling of ['color' and not the spelling of 'colour'] is the American spelling".
Re: Color GAL5, color board for MZ80KC/1200
Maybe should you both check the first page of manual? The one with publisher, print date, revision and other info. Then it will be easier to compare

I was about to post similar
We need to get some more photos of the rarer manual, especially front cover, and inner first few pages.
I wonder if this manual is before or after the more common one. Either Sharp intended for colour to exist on the 80A and then changed their minds, or it was later on and they tried to give the 80A more of a chance in the growing computer market towards the end of its life.
