Title says it all. Was there ever a 110v version of the MZ-800 PSU? I know some PSUs have an internal mod to switch the voltage but I am not seeing one with this one. I have a step up transformer but it would be nice to not have to lug that thing around when I take the machine the the computer club etc.

I don't recall there were MZ-800/NTSC so the chance to find a 110V version of MZ-800 PSU are close to zero. But you can replace the PSU block with a generic PSU which can deliver 5V as I did for a MZ-1500.

Oh Good idea. Is there a particular PSU that you went with?

I took a MeanWheel. I don't recall which one. Look at the bottom of the MZ-800 to see how many W it delivers. Take the MeanWheel with a power a little higher that the demanded one. For instance, if you look for 20W, I would consider this one : https://fr.farnell.com/mean-well/rs-25- ... dp/2816014

Thank you. Got one ordered. I was going to recap the PSU but now I don't have to.

Update: 110v PSU installed and MZ-800 works like a charm. Even loads the basic from tape! Now waiting on my Ultracard.
