Here is a game from "OH! MZ" of October 1987, in original version, recompiled for ROM japanese, and ROM European, and a compilation for PCG.

Peut-on avoir le source en assembleur ? ça aiderait à mieux comprendre comment on manipule le MMIO du GCG700.

The broadsword_gcg.mzf is unusable for emulators with PCG support!

Yes it is normal, it is necessary to use the real GCG card which is not a PCG700 card of Hal Laboratory, because even if it uses the same addresses, it is not 100% compatible. I developed my own emulator integrating the GCG card, which allowed me to take screenshots.
