Sharp Applications tape?
I need information on this sharp applications cassette. I found an ebay listing with a broken MZ-80K with a sharp basic sp-5025 (in transparent casing not black like mine is) and a sharp applications cassette (also in transparent casing) can anybody give me information or a possible mzf/wav file for the tape?

Re: Sharp Applications tape?
It was almost 35 years ago I had access to a MZ-80K last time, but I think there was a cassette with some demos delivered with it. One was a "Graphical" demo ending with a rotating globe.
I could remember wrong, but I do know I saw the rotating globe on some Sharp with low res graphics.

Re: Sharp Applications tape?
The rotating globe is likely to be the one from Space Invaders which was on the 'Games' tape.
I'm not sure if there are different versions of the Applications tape but I have a number of copies of it myself. I just haven't got around to adding it to my website yet. I can make an MZF no problem, give me a day or so (unless you desperately need it sooner, let me know!)

Yes, I also remember the globe in the intro of "Space Invader".

Thanks. If you can get an MZF I will use it.mz-80a wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 9:39 pm The rotating globe is likely to be the one from Space Invaders which was on the 'Games' tape.

Re: Sharp Applications tape?
No problem. I can make one tonight and attach to this thread.
Re: Sharp Applications tape?
OK so it turns out that I might have sold my MZ-80K Applications tape at some point but I still have two MZ-80A ones. I believe the programs are identical and I've attached them to this post. I guess you may need an 80A to 80K converter for these BASIC programs as the tokens are different.
Re: Sharp Applications tape?
Oh and my tape looks like this.
Re: Sharp Applications tape?
I'm actually interested in the history of the Applications tape, if anyone knows. It's not mentioned in the Software Manual for the tapes that come with the MZ-80A. I just wonder where it came from, if it was sold separately or whether later production runs of the MZ machines included it as a bundle when earlier batches of MZs didn't have it.
